High blood pressure is more common in African Americans regardless of gender, than any other racial group in the United States.Family History: If your family has a history of HBP or hypertension, your odds of having a similar problem increases as HBP tends to run in the family.
Existing Medical Conditions: Kidney disease and diabetes both have links to HBP. If you suffer from either of these conditions your risk of having high blood pressure increases.
